A Homespun Country Wedding

The Bride and Groom's love of the English countryside was the main inspiration for this homespun wedding which took place in the village of Rock, Worcestershire, early in October. Rosie and Howard wanted a relaxed intimate wedding which was handmade, bespoke and very personal. They chose to get married in the beautiful Norman church and hold their reception next door in the village hall which resembles an American barn from the outside and is is set amongst rolling hills with stunning views to Abberley clock tower !

The day started with croissants and coffee for everyone at the Bride's home with photographer Sarah ( Nellie Photography ) capturing every tiny detail. The Bride's Mum, owner at Tulle & Blue Bridal Accessories, had lovingly hand made everything from the Wedding stationery to the flowers and was still working on the boy's buttonholes which had to be done on the morning of the wedding !!

The decision to hand make so much of the wedding decor, accessories and design elements came from not being able to source exactly what was wanted for the day. It was also difficult to find those special bespoke suppliers who really understood our vision.

Planning started eighteen months ahead and endless hours were spent sourcing and making the perfect components which came together beautifully on the day !

It's all in the details was the mantra for the whole wedding - handmade wedding invitations, personalised signs, handcrafted hair accessories and huge ivory taffeta bows to adorn the church pews !

The Village hall was a blank canvas with neutral decor so it lent itself to any colour scheme ! We chose a pallette of ivory with soft pinks and greens accented with marsala and plum. The chairs were dressed with loose ivory covers and pale gold chiffon bows.
